By the third Sunday meeting, the number of people participating had more than doubled. Information of the letter reaching the Home Minister’s office and the absence of an acknowledgement, let alone a reply, was shared at the meet.
It was decided by consensus that a second letter should be sent to the Home Minister with mention of starting a peaceful protest by the Healthcare Rights Front. It was also decided that a press conference would be organized by the Front to announce the peaceful protest that would start from January 1. Names of individuals who would address the press conference were finalized at the meeting. Rs. 7000 were collected in response to an appeal for contributions to the Front’s struggle fund.
