Beneficiaries and staff of the Sambhavna Trust Clinic today celebrated the victory of their peaceful struggle for granting of re-registration under FCRA to the Sambhavna Trust. Leaders of the Union Carbide Poison Victims Healthcare Rights Front said that this morning they found a message in the Home Ministry portal that FCRA re-registration has been granted to the Sambhavna Trust. Hundreds of survivors of the disaster and victims of contaminated groundwater receiving healthcare at the Clinic joined staff members in a celebratory dance to the beat of drums. The Sambhavna Trust Clinic, that can now receive individual contributions from abroad, will re-open on Monday, January 6, 2025.
